Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a standard loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine the wet ingredients: applesauce, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and oil. Whisk until well combined.
Mixing
- Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Baking
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and foil, then freeze for up to 2-3 months. Thaw at room temperature.
