Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, rapid-rise yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Add the warm water or milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients.
- Mix until a shaggy dough forms. No need to knead!
- Cover the bowl with a clean towel and let it rest for 10 minutes while the oven preheats.
Shaping and Baking
- After the rest, divide the dough into 12 equal portions.
- Shape each portion into a roll and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Allow the rolls to rise in a warm spot for about 10-15 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and sound hollow when tapped.
Notes
These rolls are best served warm with butter or honey. They'll also keep in an airtight container for 2-3 days. If frozen, reheat in the microwave or warm oven to restore freshness. Add herbs or cheese for variation.
