Carrier Oils
  • 1/2 cup Sweet Almond Oil Adds silky texture and nourishment.
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Oil Provides hydration and helps thin out butters.
  • 2 tablespoons Jojoba Oil Great for all skin types.
Essential Oils
  • 10 drops Lavender Essential Oil Soothes and provides calming aroma.
  • 5 drops Tea Tree Oil Helps with blemishes.
Optional Boosters
  • 1 teaspoon Vitamin E Oil Antioxidant that nourishes and preserves.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather your tools: heat-safe bowl, saucepan for a double boiler, electric mixer, and clean jars.
  2. Measure out your chosen butters and oils. Precision is key.
Melting the Butters
  1. Set up your double boiler: place a heat-safe bowl over simmering water without letting the water touch the bowl.
  2. Add solid butters first and let them melt gently. Once mostly melted, add the carrier oils.
  3. Stir until fully liquid and combined.
Whipping the Mixture
  1. Remove the bowl from heat and let it cool until firm but soft enough to whip.
  2. Whip the mixture with your electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Packaging
  1. Spoon your fluffy homemade body butter into clean, airtight jars.
  2. Label them with the date and ingredients.

Notes

Store in a cool, dark place for best shelf life. Use clean hands or a spatula when scooping to prevent contamination.
