  • 1/4 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp rose water Use high-quality culinary rose water.
Chocolate and Petals
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Dark chocolate can be used for a richer flavor.
  • 1/4 cup edible rose petals Make sure they are organic and safe for consumption.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat butter and sugars together until creamy.
  4. Add the egg and rose water to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and edible rose petals.
Baking
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  3. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container layered with parchment paper. Freezing the dough before baking preserves their floral aroma.
