Prepare Strawberry Puree
- In a saucepan, combine hulled strawberries and sugar over medium heat. Simmer until the strawberries release their juices, about 5-7 minutes. Blend until smooth and set aside.
Make Cold Foam
- In a mixing bowl, whip together heavy cream, vanilla bean paste, and a pinch of sea salt until soft peaks form.
Prepare Matcha Base
- In a bowl, whisk matcha with a small amount of hot water until dissolved.
- In a glass, add ice, then pour the milk over the ice, followed by the matcha whisked liquid.
Assemble the Strawberry Matcha Cloud
- Spoon the strawberry puree on top of the matcha latte base.
- Carefully spoon the cold foam on top of the strawberry layer.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the beautiful layers!
Notes
For an extra flavor boost, consider adding a sprinkle of matcha powder on top of the foam. This drink can also be made dairy-free using coconut cream and non-dairy milk alternatives.
